As a Reflector, I don't carry a fixed identity — I take on the energy of wherever I am. So travel has never been a hobby for me. It's been the training. It began in 2016 with a mix of solo trips and study abroad in France, Colombia, and the Netherlands, and hasn't really stopped since. These are only the destinations that mean the most to me — there are many more.

These were my college years — a mix of solo trips and study abroad through France, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, England, Colombia, and the Netherlands. I lost my digital camera somewhere along the way (likely while intoxicated), so I don't have as many pictures as I would like, but I'll be recovering them soon. First time reading a place with no familiar frame around me, and the beginning of everything that followed.

Hanging bridges through the canopy, La Fortuna waterfall, Arenal volcano in the clouds, sloths and pygmy owls at the rescue sanctuary, horses at the water line, red-eyed tree frogs after dark, and a whole banana leaf of seafood and patacones. Costa Rica was the first place that taught me how much the land itself can regulate a nervous system.

Bali was a big group adventure for a dear friend's wedding — a whole crew of us moving through Ubud together. Jungle swings over the rice terraces, the trek down to Sekumpul falls, the monkey forest (one of them took the photo himself), elephants and a brand-new baby at the sanctuary, a luwak coffee tasting in the trees, cliff-edge afternoons above Uluwatu, and then a wedding under fairy lights and white roses.

Yoga teacher training in Peru — the first formal container for a practice I'd been circling for years, 200 hours through the School Yoga Institute, held in the thin, clear air of the Andes. Machu Picchu in the clouds, the Sacred Valley by rail, llamas grazing between the terraces, a despacho ceremony with Q'ero elders, waterfalls in the high hills, mornings of headstands and cacao and Sacred Valley kirtan, and the geranium-lined lanes of Cusco.
